FounderBen oversees and leads the business and development of Blue Lagoon Marine across all areas both domestically and internationally. Taking on an empty boatyard at the age of only 19 was the beginning of Blue Lagoon Marine and since September 2017, the company has continued to grow exponentially. With a like-minded team, Blue Lagoon Marine constantly strives for success and always looks for new and exciting opportunities within the industry. You are most likely to find Ben at his laptop or on the phone!

Richard Dodd
Head of EngineeringRichard and Ben teamed up during the COVID-19 period and quickly recognised the need to expand. Richard is an integral part of our team, overseeing and managing all of our engineering and services. With many years’ experience in the marine industry and a boat owner himself, Richard has an invaluable knowledge of all things boats. Richard is also responsible for leading our logistics, skippering, and surveys. In his spare time, Richard enjoys good food, learning new languages and getting out on his motorbikes!

Chris Farran
Yacht BrokerChris oversees the majority of our brokerage sales and deals.Chris is young, enthusiastic and extremely well presented. With a keen passion for boating and in particular sailing, Chris was desperate to get back into the industry after spending 6 months previously as a Yacht broker followed buy gaining some valuable sales skills whilst working as an estate agent. Chris is hard working and has a clear dedication to providing the best service as possible with all Yacht Brokerage requirements. You may spot Chris driving around in his beautiful red Mercedes!

Maarten Meessens
Sales Côte d'AzurMaarten has recently completed his Yacht Master and represents all sales across the French Riviera. As such, Maarten is well placed to assist with all Yachting requirements and can do so in a number of languages including English, French and Dutch. Having met for the first time at the Monaco Yacht Show in 2022, Maarten was instantly a perfect fit for the team, with a very enthusiastic approach as we grow our presence across Europe. Residing just outside Monaco, you’ll find Maarten exploring the Riviera in his JCW Mini or watching the F1 (especially during the Monaco Grand Prix!).

Italy Walker
AdministrationItaly recently joined the Blue Lagoon Marine team, bringing a strong administrative background and enthusiasm for the marine industry. After three years in estate agency, she transitioned to yachts and boats, a passion she developed growing up around them making Blue Lagoon the perfect new chapter in her career. At Blue Lagoon, she handles daily operations and administration while expanding her industry knowledge. She also contributes to social media marketing to help grow the brand. Outside of work, Italy loves to travel and ski, always chasing her next adventure.
