Blue Lagoon Marine, the exclusive Cornish Crabbers representative is now ready to take new boat orders for the new season, built to your exact specification. The 17 has a clever in-cockpit space for the outboard such that the propeller is well under the boat and in front of the generous rudder; giving great power and steering control under way or against a foul tide getting home. Don’t be afraid to walk up onto the fore deck. The boat is remarkably stable when needing to anchor or adjust the rig. Lines however lead aft via jamming cleats which makes for very easy single handed sailing. Good quality furlers make jib work easy and drop the centre plate and the 17 will cut a tidy tack to windward, facing up very well. Sit out on the beautiful wood slatted side decks and if you want it to, the boat feel like a well balanced dinghy, or slacken off and return to a more sedate cruiser style.

Standard hull colours are any combination – Off White, Dark Blue and Dark Green with contrasting waterline.
Hull and deck joint is by way of a ‘biscuit tin’ joint with GRP internal bonding.
External hard wood rubbing bands.
The Hull is complete with moulded mini bilge keels and a galvanised steel lifting centre plate.
Laminated plywood rudder with lifting stainless steel plate, stainless steel hangings and tiller hood.
Wooden tiller. -
The main mast and spars are from Sitka Spruce, treated with Sikkens as standard.
The standing rigging is in 1 x 19 stainless wire and all bespoke mast fittings are in stainless steel.
Sails are available in dark tan or cream and include mainsail & jib.
